Businesses throughout downtown Libertyville are putting out the blue and white “Shop Small” welcome mat and offering sales, incentives and raffle prizes to shoppers on Saturday, November 24. Promoted by communities nationwide to draw attention to neighborhood businesses, Small Business Saturday is a fun and unique way to explore your local MainStreet Libertyville merchants, as well as walk off some of those calories from Thanksgiving dinner.
Experiencing Libertyville’s Small Business Saturday shopping tour is easy. Pick up a free Small Business Saturday shopping tour passport at participating businesses or at the Village of Libertyville’s Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, November 23. Come back on Saturday,
November 24, shop, stroll and dine your way through downtown Libertyville and present your passport to be stamped at participating retailers and restaurants. At the end of your shopping tour, drop your stamped passport in a collection box at your favorite participating retailer to be entered to win prizes.
Exciting raffle prizes include specialty products, restaurant gift certificates, clothing, fitness packages, decorative accessories, gift baskets, salon products, jewelry and retailer gift certificates. All raffle prizes are valued at $50 or greater. Many shops are offering specials and shopping discounts on Saturday, too, including B. Bungalow, Edie Boutique, The Runner’s Edge (and Heather’s Gym – inside of The Runner’s Edge), Oh, Olive!, Petranek’s Pharmacy (toy sale), Serendipity Shop, Charles & Minerva, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and Amazing Cosmetics. Additional specials will be announced on Small Business Saturday at some locations.
