Get ready to celebrate the season in true Libertyville style!
Saturday, December 13 from 10am to 3pm
Dickens of a Holiday returns to downtown on Saturday, Dec. 13, offering a day packed with holiday magic, classic traditions, and family-friendly fun. From magical photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus to the beloved Children’s Holiday Shoppe and an elegant Victorian Tea, there’s something for everyone to enjoy in the heart of our charming downtown.
Here’s what’s in store:
- Photos with Santa (Cook Park, 10am -12pm; 1-3pm) – Meet Santa and Mrs. Claus for a photo in his sleigh! Monetary donations and non-perishable food items for Libertyville Township Food Pantry are appreciated.
- Children’s Holiday Shoppe (Libertyville Civic Center, 10am-3pm) – Kids can experience the joy of giving by shopping for gifts for their loved ones (with a little help from Santa’s elves)! Children ages 4-10 may shop for up to six gifts.
- Victorian Tea (United Methodist Church Libertyville, 11am-1pm) – Take a break from the holiday rush and enjoy tea, scones, pastries, and finger sandwiches served by hostesses in authentic Victorian attire. Tickets are $55 per person and can be purchased online or by calling the MainStreet Libertyville at (847) 680-0336. Please reserve your seats early, as this event is expected to sell out!
- Giving Back – Donations of non-perishable food items for the Libertyville Township Food Pantry will be collected throughout the day.
