Local Libertyville chefs are busy creating signature bites for MainStreet Libertyville’s popular foodie fundraiser, Chef Fest: Infinite Flavors. The event will be held at Gregory INFINITI, 1121 S. Milwaukee Avenue, Libertyville on Saturday, November 9th from 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Gregory INFINITI is the premiere sponsor of this year’s Chef Fest: Infinite Flavors. Gregory Mauro, president of Gregory INFINITI, has generously offered his showroom space for the event, after his own experience hosting a private, food-themed VIP event several years ago.

“I’ve always liked the fact that there are so many good restaurants in Libertyville.  I’m looking forward to hosting this year’s event and supporting the community,” says Mauro. This year’s venue will also include valet parking for Chef Fest: Infinite Flavors guests.

Mauro opened Gregory INFINITY in Libertyville in 2013 and is carrying on a family legacy in the auto dealership business. His father owned several dealerships in the Chicago area, and his siblings continue to work in the car business. One of Mauro’s three sons, Joey, also works at the dealership in Libertyville.

“I’ve been in the car business for a total of 38 years, if you count the time I spent at my Dad’s Oldsmobile dealership, according to Mauro. “I always stay busy. There are lots of departments to manage in addition to new and used car sales.” But at the end of the day, Mauro’s favorite aspect of the business is forging and maintaining good relationships through sales, service and finance.

When he’s not at the dealership, Mauro enjoys spending time in Wisconsin and Florida, and plans a special destination trip once a year. And of course, he enjoys eating at the restaurants in town. “I’ve never eaten a bad meal in Libertyville,” says Mauro.

New on the horizon for Mauro and Gregory INFINITI are plans to move the dealership to a brand-new building on south Milwaukee Avenue in Libertyville, a project expected to be completed in 2021.  The new facility will also feature a car wash that is open to the public. But in the meantime, customers can enjoy the bright and beautiful current showroom and comfortable customer lounge, which offers patrons freshly baked cookies, snacks and beverages.

Soon the auto showroom will be transformed into an elegant, community cocktail party. Chef Fest: Infinite Flavors attendees will enjoy tastes from Libertyville’s newest culinary sensations such as Burnsies Uptown, Chrissoulas and soon-to-open Sweet Home Gelato, along with familiar favorites from “restaurant row.”

Clucker’s Charcoal Chicken, Dos Amigos Mexican Restaurant, Main Street Social, Milwalky Taco, O’Toole’s Libertyville, Oscar Lee’s Barbecue, The Picnic Basket Restaurant, Real Clean Paleo, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Shakou Libertyville, The Green Room of Libertyville and Townee Square Restaurant will also be participating.

Admission tickets include all food samplings, a selection of Main Street Social wines, two curated craft cocktails from North Shore Distillery, craft beer from Mickey Finn’s Brewery and coffee from Hansa Coffee Roasters.
