“Dear Colleagues, Board Members of MainStreet Libertyville, Business Owners & Staff, Rotary, and Community Members:
My name is Michael Kallison, and I am one of the advisors of the Interact Club at LHS. I am proud to be standing here accepting this award on behalf of Libertyville High School and the Interact Club. Thank you for recognizing them and for this wonderful award.
I cannot thank you enough for all you do for the community and beyond our town of Libertyville. It is very humbling to be a Wildcat, work with awesome kids, and phenomenal colleagues. Our students are the heart of the club, school, and community here in Libertyville.
The students involved in Interact volunteer their time to assist many organizations, businesses, Rotary, and other communities in many ways, such as providing manpower to the WISH program at LHS, The Dickens Event, Soup Kitchens, Science Fairs, Orphans of the Storm, Feed My Starving Children, Book Drives, and so much more.
We will be partnering with the Freemont Garden in the Spring to help feed the homeless, Wright Way Rescue in Morton Grove to provide blankets and towels, a Safe Place Women’s Shelter, and more. This is a club that is student led by upperclassmen and without their dedication and many hours of planning, Interact would not be. This award is for them and the club as a whole. Thank you.”
